APPROVED ARTIST BIO FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Annisse is a classically trained, gospel-inspired, American Pop/Soul singer-songwriter with deep, rich vocals, thicker than a warm dark milk chocolate snickers bar, that serenade your soul. Her deeply emotional lyrics express her inner struggles with the anxieties of life and death, shortcomings in relationships, and self-confidence. Through her music, she curates a therapeutic sonic experience to help heal internal trauma and hopes to help others do the same.

Annisse has found musical inspiration from singer-songwriter Adele, soprano Leontyne Price, and gospel singer Lecresia Campbell.

Career highlights include solo performances at President Barack Obama's 56th and 57th Presidential Inaugural Prayer Services, appearances on The Today Show’s “Little Girl, Big Voice” segment, and the Centric TV Televised Tribute to Marian Anderson, held at DAR Constitution Hall, where she performed Undine Smith Moore's setting of Langston Hughes poem, "Mother to Son" and took the stage with renowned musicians such as Jessye Norman.

Annisse was born and raised in Prince George’s County, Maryland, and is currently based out of Atlanta, Georgia.
